About Me

Artist Statement

I am a storyteller at heart, using my skills as a technical artist to weave emotions into the worlds I create. My work is a bridge between imagination and reality, drawing from the stories I was told, the games that I played, the music I listened to, and the fleeting moments of beauty found in everyday life. Whether it’s the rustling of the forest’s leaves outside my cabin or the glow of the warm hearth on a quiet evening, I seek to capture these emotions and share them through my work.

Games are more than just games; they can be life-changing experiences that stay in the minds of those who play them. They can tell wonderful stories with lessons that teach and change our understanding of the world around us. They can bring images that we can only dream of to life and grant us the opportunity to interact with them in a way no other medium can. We live in a world where emotions are often neglected and barred from being expressed. Through my work, I only hope to make people feel something.

Lighting Workshop Module #4

In this assignment, we were given a set of environments to choose from and light. Having recently seen Severance, I really wanted to try and recreate the harsh spotlight found in some of their art and as such chose the Saigon Office level.

Lighting Workshop Module #3

In this assignment we were tasked with lighting a hero asset in a 3-point infinity wall space and again in a fitting environment. I chose to light a satellite and create a space scene with mars in the background.

Lighting Workshop Module #2

In this assignment we were tasked with building an environment and lighting it. Having found an asset pack containing many old style pieces of furniture and props, I elected to try and recreate the living room from Knives Out. The following are a few renders of the environment I constructed and then lit.

Lighting Workshop Module #1

For this week we were taught how to properly set up 3-point lighting for showing off our models. 3-point lighting refers to the use of a key, rim, and fill light. Each light serves its own purpose, the key acting as the main light source illuminating the subject. The rim light serves to separate the edges of the subject and separate it from the background. The fill or bounce lighting serves to brighten up the shadows and bring clarity to the subject. The use of all three lights is known as 3-point lighting. In the colored images, each light is given its own color, red for key, green for fill, and blue for rim.
